It’s a regular mattress pad, except with a built-in network of micro silicone tubes which all connect to the cooling/heating unit (cube). And when turned on, circulates water throughout the entire pad to regulate its temperature to your desired setting — 55ºF to 110ºF.

Like the human heart, the ChiliPad Cube pumps blood (water) into the body’s (mattress pad’s) veins (tubes).

Take out the mattress pad and notice the soft quilted, 150-thread count poly cotton material. Built with 4 elastic bands on its corners, this easily straps to your mattress. And stays in place no matter how much you twist and turn in bed.

Plus, it’s also easily cared for by placing it in a front load washer with cold water, and dried with air only.

On one end of the topper, you’ll also find a large silicone feeder tube (8 feet long).

This tube is already connected to the micro ones inside. And is what transports water to them once connected to the cube. To do this, just attach the pad’s tube to the connector, and the connector to the unit.

So you have the topper on. Now, you just need to set up the cube itself.

In order for the ChiliPad Cube to work, you’ll need 2 feet of open airflow on all sides (and top) to cool/heat the water. This may be problematic for some people, but setting this on a nightstand is probably your best bet (under your bed is not a good option).

Then, just take the power cord and plug it into your unit and outlet.

Now, unscrew the cube’s reservoir cap and pour in some water. Turn the power on. And instantly, the water will feed into the pad. Repeat this step until the water signal doesn’t pop up anymore. This means your pad is ready.

To set the desired temperature of your bed only takes a push of a button.

Press either up (red button) or down (blue button) to adjust how cold or hot you want your bed to be. Once you choose a specific temperature, for example 60ºF, it will blink three times, then display the real-time temperature. As it works toward achieving your desired setting.

So not only is your ChiliPad Cube an air conditioner/heater, it’s also a thermometer.

Now, some people might be concerned about the noise it makes. But this unit only makes a small fan noise. Much quieter than if you’re using a window AC unit.
